The GPS enabled mobile app of the Telangana state Aarogyasri Healthcare Trust bagged this year’s Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI)’s healthcare excellence award.
It is the second award for the app having secured the ‘Elite Smart Healthcare Conclave’ for being the most important mobile app in the nation.
DR.M.Chandrasekhar CEO of Aarogyasri will be receiving the award from Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda at a function to be held in Delhi on Aug.31st 2016. Telangana State Health Minister C. Laxma Reddy appreciated the Trust officials for the award.
The mobile app was launched by Mr. Laxma Reddy three months ago and within a few days got 4.5 points in the Google Playstore for being downloaded one lakh times. The app was made by the project monitoring unit of the Trust which enables any patient to locate the network hospital within 10 km radius through a map.
This Mobile App will also show the nearest route to the hospitals networked under Aarogyasri Healthcare Trust. This has been of much help during emergencies and road accidents. The app also provides complete information pertaining to specialities available in each hospital district wise, phone numbers of the network hospitals, mail ids, etc.
Patients or their attendants not carrying the health care card can also simply download the card and take the services. Treatment status of a patient can also be found out. Besides, complaints pertaining to any deficiency of services, corruption and other issues can be brought to the notice of the higher authorities. Rating for the medical services can also be done in this App.
There are plans to upgrade the mobile app with information about complete medical treatment record of a patient, details of trauma centres, blood banks and 108 ambulance services. Several States wanted to emulate the mobile app service and a representative from Uttarakhand has already been trained for this purpose.
