Telangana Shakuntala Died of Cardiac Arrest in Hyderabad
Popular Character artist Telangana Shakuntala died of cardiac arrest today at kompally Hyderabad in her residence. She is survived by a daughter and a son.
Telangana Shakuntala is from Maharashtra and her father was an army officer and mother, a house wife. She had two sisters. She started her acting career through theatres. Her first performance was at Ravindra Bharathi.
She acted in more than 70 films and also in few Tamil Films. She entered Tollywood in 1981. In Tollywood she is more popular for her villainy and comedy roles .
Shakuntala suffered heart attack around 2.30 am on June 14 and was taken to Narayana Hridayalaya hospital in Suraram. But she died before she was admitted into the hospital, which was confirmed by the doctors.
Telangana Shakuntala entered tollywood film industry with the movie Maa Bhumi in 1981 and her character in Gulabi brought here good recognition. Her dialogue delivery in Telangana slang was appreciated by many. She is presently acting in films such as Ramappa, Emaindi Eevela, Naa anevaadu, Sound party and so on. Her recent release was Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda.
