Tollywood Actor Superstar Mahesh Babu who had earlier announced to adopt Burripalem village, his father’s birth place, in guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, has said he would also adopt a village in the backward Mahabubnagar district of Telangana.
He announced this decission in response to a suggestion made by telangana IT and Panchayati Raj Minister K T Rama Rao, who appreciated Mahesh Babu’s for his recent released film “Srimanthudu”, Mahesh made this announcement on twitter.
“Very Humbled after receiving a congratulatory call on the success of Srimanthudu from Minister PR&RD @KTRTRS. He suggested I adopt a village from the most backward district of Mahbubnagar as part of their #GramaJyothi initiative. I said YES, more details to be announced soon..,” Mahesh Babu tweeted.
In the recently released action-drama “Srimanthudu”, the actor played the role of Harsha, who adopts a village to look after the welfare of people living in rural areas, the film follows the life of a young billionaire who adopts a village.
