Rural Electrical Corporation to fund power projects in Telangana State.
REC (Rural Electrical Corporation Limited) , a Government of India Enterprise, would fund the Telangana State Power Generation Corporation (TSGENCO) power projects of 6,280 MW capacity to the tune of Rs 24,000 crore.
These projects Funded are 800 MW at KTPS, 1,080 MW at Bhadradri in Manugur of Khammam District and 4,400 MW at Damaracherla in Nalgonda District, According to Telangana state government release.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between TSGENCO CMD D Prabhakar Rao and Rural Electrical Corporation Chairman and Managing Director Rajeev Sharma and in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
REC (Rural Electrical Corporation) is a Navaratna Enterprise and provides financial assistance for rural electrification as well as all types of power generation, transmission and distribution projects.
