Sasikala can’t be invited to form government due to Disproportionate Assets case, Governor Vidyasagar reportedly told Centre.
According to various media reports, the Governor has told the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in a three-page report that Sasikala cannot be invited to form a government in Tamil Nadu state as a Disproportionate Asset case is pending against her.
Governer Vidyasagar Rao has reportedly concluded that the prevailing condition in Tamil Nadu as a “peculiar situation” with a “unique set of constitutional issues with no precedent.”
The Governor of Tamilnadu noted that he has consulted legal experts across the nation “to get different shades of Legal Opinion.” In a clear support to Panneerselvam, the governor Vidyasagar said that a caretaker chief minister is ruling the state and the interim arrangement could go on.
