The Hyderabad High Court directed the Telangana State Government on Monday to impose penalty more than cost of a helmet on the two-wheeler riders not wearing helmets.
Hyderabad High Court took up hearing on a petition on the use of helmet by two-wheeler riders. During the hearing, the High Court chided the telangana State government for failing to act tough against those bike riders not wearing helmets.
Responding to the High Court remarks, the telangana State Advocate-General submitted to the court that the telangana police personnel were concentrating more on catching chain snatchers than against helmet violators. But the High Court rejected the AG’s submission and directed that the telagana government should stern action against helmet-less riders of bikes.
